Chat Rooms Feature with Free Local Chat Rooms

There is a link called “Chat Rooms” on the top SushiDating’s menu. When the link is clicked (after registration and login steps), Sushi main chat room window will be opened. In this main chatting room, there are many sub chat rooms or free local chat rooms that are created by site administrator and some other users. Small profile pictures will be shown in these chat rooms and there is an option on the right bottom of the chat room to see the lager profile pictures. Chatters can use smiley faces to express their emotion. There are two types of smiley sets to choose from. One is the default set and the other one is called funny smiley set. Bold, Italic and Underlined options are also avilable for text editing and font color can be also changed. Please note that the messages from this free chat rooms are not static. All the messages will be discarded when the chat message box is closed. If the users want to leave static or permanent messages, they can use Sushi relationship forum (message board) instead because the messages from forum are everlasting. Or chatters can also use the Shout out box or web messenger. The messages from web messenger are semi-static and messages will last for several months. Instant Messenger For Private Messaging, Love Talk or Sex Chat

The free instant messenger from SushiDating is intended for private one-to-one chat. After logging in, there is a link for “instant messenger” in the member menu on the left side of the web page. This messenger is called Presence messenger and the chat window will be pop up after clicking the link. This instant messenger can be used on-site only and it cannot be downloaded on your computer like Yahoo, AOL or MSN messengers. So, users must come to and login at SushiDating.com first to use this instant messenger. To chat with other member, users can just simply click on the online members icons to send private messages. Also chatters can add other members to their friend lists for future contact. It might take a few moment to open this Presence messenger depending on the user’s connection speed. But, there is no delay in sending or receiving messages once it is opened. Just like the chat rooms, chatters can change the font colors and smiley face set. Since this is “private messenger”, no other members (except the message receiver) can see or read your messages. So you can say any private things that you want. You can even reveal your dirty little secret or your sexual fantasy or private sex chat or anything you want.

Web Messenger / Shout Out Box

Web messenger or shout out box from SushiDating is web version of single chat room. It is like a quick and easy mini chat room. Users can read the messages from this Sushi web messenger without even logging in. All the messages from this chat room are semi-static, messages do not disappear when the internet explorer is closed and messages will last there for several months. All the messages will be only clear when the message box is too long or if there are messages that violate SushiDating Policy. Since this web messenger has both semi-static like message board and quick messaging abilities like IM, it can be called as instant chat message boards. From the pages like join page, free game page and advanced search page, any visitors can read all the messages instantly without even logging in. But logins are required for posting messages. Smiley faces can be use in this web messenger. However, there is only one set of default smiley set and there is no option to change the smiley face set like in Chat Room and Instant Messenger. Also, there is no Bold, Italic and Underlined options for text editing. But, Sushi Web Messenger is a great tool for quickly and easily communicate and chat with other dating members.

These good statistics numbers aside, there are some area of the site that I would like to improve. Currently, the test score banners of fun quizzes are doing great only on myspace, friendster and blogspot pages; however, these cannot be posted on Wordpress and Sushi Dating Chat Forum. So, I need to work on this. And also, since the site become bigger and has a lot of members, backing up all data become time cosuming and it takes about 2 hours to back up the whole website. It could take so much longer in coming months so I have to find a way to back up the site in a quicker way.

I’ve been tired lately because I’m still working days at my job and nights on Sushi Dating, but hopefully things will let up next year so I can start getting more sleep.

I was born and raised in the South East Asian country called Burma (a.k.a. Myanmar) which is one of the poorest nations in the world. After finishing high school in Burma, I came to United States alone at the age of 20 in year 2000. My girlfriend of two years, Aye Mon Swe, from Burma also came to U.S. and we got married in 2002. Then, she gave birth to a baby boy in 2003.

Career

My first job was a gas station attendant and I worked overnight shifts. Then, I got the computer server quality testing job at a computer company in San Jose. I also attended evening classes and online classes at Ohlone College while I was working full time. Even though I worked so hard and was a dedicated employee for about 6 years at that computer company, I got laid from that job in 2007.

I founded a dating site called SushiDating.com with just $1,000 from my one bedroom apartment while I was out of work. It took me about 2 months to create this website. But, it was not an easy thing to start a business alone with very low budget. I am the lone web designer, the sole web administrator and the only person to develop and execute marketing plans. While building this site, there were times that I worked so many hours non-stop. And, there were nights that I did not even sleep at all. My wife became worried and asked me to take some rests.

In the end, I could successfully launch the dating site in mid 2007. And, a couple of weeks later, I got one year temporary job at another tech company. Since this is just a one year temp job, I might have to find another job again in 2008. I am just praying that this dating site will be so successful before that time so that I do not need to look for job again. But, no matter what happen, this website only cost me $15 a month for web hosting fees so I will keep it open and will make it successful.

This is my life so far. I will write more blogs later on when things progress.
